About Dalhousie

Dalhousie is an attractive hill station near Chamba town of Chamba district, North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, India. Named after Lord Dalhousie, the town is famous for being home to a pristine and serene place in the Dhauladhar Mountain range. The town was founded in 1854 by Britishers on the suggestion of Sir Donald McLeod for Viceroy of India, Lord Dalhousie, who lived in India from 1854 to 1856.
